Application for Admission
Applicants to the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing will use the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS). NursingCAS will verify your application for accuracy, calculate your GPA, and send your materials to PHSSN.
Once you create an account with NursingCAS, you can access your application frequently in order to complete the required portion of the application. Specific instructions are available within each section of the application. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions section (FAQ's) if you have specific questions about entering your information into the application.
After you have created and completed your application, you can e-submit it to NursingCAS for processing. PHSSN will have real-time access to your application once you e-submit.
NursingCAS requires a $45 application fee due at the time you submit your application. All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. CST on Monday, October 31, 2011 for spring 2012 admission, and by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 3, 2012 for fall 2012 admission.
HESI Admission Assessment Registration
Once you have submitted your application, please register to take the HESI Admission Assessment.
The fee for the exam is $80 and is due by February 6, 2012.

You will choose one test date from the following options:
- February 10, 2012 at 12:00 p.m.
- February 11, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. (Closed)
- February 17, 2012 at 12:00 p.m.
- February 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. (Closed)
All applications for Fall 2012 consideration will be open for submission on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 and are due by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 3, 2012. The HESI Admission Assessment will be available Feb. 10-11, 2012 and Feb. 17-18, 2012.
